Evelyne is a chemical
/ environmental engineer with experience in hazardous waste disposal,
air dispersion modeling, environmental due diligence investigations,
and environmental auditing. She has worked in project, process,
and environmental engineering in the pharmaceutical and agricultural
chemical industries, with an early stint in a refinery. As an
engineer she also did a fair bit of technical writing and some
teaching.
It wasn't long after
school when Evelyne became interested in computers. When an early
employer bought PCs on carts to be shared among the engineers,
she knew she would have to buy her own PC if she intended to really
learn this new technology. And learn she did. But she never forgot
what it felt like starting out on her own, when it seemed that
all computer documentation came in one of two varieties - confusing
or overwhelming.
The most interesting
aspects of computers, from Evelyne 's point of view, continue
to be those that involve the people computers are meant to serve.
Teaching people how to use the tools they need is a satisfying
part of that.
Now, in addition to
her work on the computer systems themselves, Evelyne is MWC Enterprises'
trainer and writer.
Because a system you
can't use is as bad as no system at all, only more expensive.
