Michael is the founder and owner of MWC Enterprises. He has over two decades of computer problem-solving experience in a multitude of environments and platforms. In that time, he has tamed systems running different versions of Unix, Xenix, Windows, OS/2, and various flavors of Linux.

In his early career, Michael was a programmer and computer technician with hardware certifications from all the major vendors. His continuing hands-on experience stands him in good stead when it comes to troubleshooting "technical difficulties" quickly.

One of his current specialties is the design of LAN / WAN (local area network / wide area network) systems. An increasingly popular choice is to network machines of different platforms together, such as using a reliable Linux server to support a set of familiar Windows machines.

Another specialty is providing services to improve Internet usefulness. These include setting up proxy servers to increase speed and provide additional security, installing and configuring firewalls, and customizing spam filtering for email.

At one time or another Michael has held just about every position in the field of computers, from data entry operator in the early days to Director of Information Technologies for a manufacturing company.

Oh yes, Michael's last name is pronounced /kox/, and you will find an assortment of mainly technical writings and software on his Wiki.
